Corrigibility Research Fund launches with $200K in grants and prizes
Lightcone Infrastructure is opening a new fund dedicated to corrigibility research, with at least $200,000 in awards for 2026. Half will fund traditional grants (deadline August 23rd); the other half recognizes exceptional work completed this year.
The fund addresses a funding gap: most AI safety money flows to evals, control, and interpretability, leaving alignment work itself severely underfunded since the field's emergence around 2009.
